Many of us are well aware of the unpleasant history of Black people in the UK and United States; The Middle Passage, and The Triangular Slave Trade were the names attributed to this practice. A people traded by Europeans as property for the benefit of agricultural plantations in the US and Caribbean owned primarily by Europeans.
But how people know that Native Americans owned Black slaves after the American Civil War. Actor Don Cheadle found out his ancestors were owned not by white slave masters but by Chickasaw Indians. See interview:
