At least three people were rushed to the Mount St. John’s Medical Center on Tuesday night following shooting incidents in the city.
Those injured include Shelton Hunte, Trevon Francis and Judith Wynter. Wynter was hit by a stray bullet during a confrontation between two people near Obsti’s Bar at the East Bus Station around 8:00pm.

Whether the two have been apprehended has not been confirmed. On Tuesday night MSJMC officials complained of being overwhelmed with the casualties that put a strain on the blood bank reserves.
An immediate call was issued for donations of blood of any type. Wynter herself was in dire need of B+ blood.
Reports from the woman’s daughter on Wednesday morning suggested that the blood was received by her mother, who was previously listed as critical, was in stable condition.
In the meantime, further reports have suggested that at least one other individual was admitted to the hospital with stab wounds about the body. His status is uncertain.
Shootings were also reported in the areas of Country Pond and Independence Drive. The incidents resulted in the cancellation of the much-anticipated Last Lap street jump up that officially marks the close of Carnival.
Police are investigating all incidents. Article By Antigua Chronicle
