An expectant mother is devastated when her baby dies during delivery, the thought that she will not be going home with a baby is almost impossible for her to comprehend or come to terms with. It is also devastating for her husband who is grieving for his lost hopes at becoming a father and lacks the words to comfort her. To fill the gaps in her marriage, she hires a troubled young girl to be her surrogate.
