On Wednesday, Minister with the responsibility for Education, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs, Dr. Rhoda Arrindell expressed her gratitude to the residents of St.Maarten, who played a role in making the celebrations of St.Maarten Day, the success that it was.
The response of the people who wore their National colors on St. Maarten Day, was well appreciated by the government and people of St. Maarten stated Minister Arrindell.
The members of the organising committee was also thanked by the Minister on Wednesday including the islands schools who played a great role in the celebration of St. Maarten Day 2011.
Minister Dr. Rhoda Arrindell also announced that the plans for the 2011 Christmas Village will also be announced shortly
But first, the Minister extended condolences to the Richards family on the passing of their son in Holland.
