Spiritual commentary. When walking in faith with Christ there will be many temptations from The enemy. “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” -Matthew 26:41
As spiritual beings we must make up our mind
And decide we will only serve one God.
“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.
Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” -Matthew 6:24
For if you serve God and the devil you will be confused, restless, and exhausted, “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” Reads James 1:8
No one is perfect. Not I, not you. That is why we need to stay in a close relationship to God who is perfect.
We all have a tendency to backslide-to go back to the old way of living, and sinning in a familial way.
The enemy knows our individual weaknesses and tempts us.
“Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walketh about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” -1 Peter 5:8
We must continually stay in prayer.
Read the bible scriptures aloud morning, noon, and night.
Throughout the day. On your lunch break,
on the bus or train. Listen to gospel music.
Read Christian magazines, books, and attend church.
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7
Make up your mind to serve only one God. It’s not too late to repent for your sins. God loves you and welcomes you with open arms.
“Return, you backsliding children,
And I will heal your backslidings.”
“Indeed we do come to You,
For You are the Lord our God. -Jeremiah 3:22
