Latoya Jackson New Reality Show with Jackos Kids
The Jacksons – The Next Generation – La Toya Jackson has recently signed Michael Jacksons Kids (Prince Michael, Blanket and Paris) to her management label in anticipation of a new reality TV show.
Bidding for the show is now approaching ten million and network insiders are hoping that the show will give a new insight into the King of Pops children.
Controversies and disapproval from the rest of the Jackson clan has delayed this project as the late King of Pop was strongly opposed to any media intrusion into the lives of his kids.
While Prince has recently become a correspondent on Entertainment Tonight and is due to make his acting debut in 90210, Paris Jackson is due to make her feature film debut in an adaptation of the Dennis H. Christen Novel Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys. She is currently signed to a potential five film series deal with insiders calling this epic on par with the Harry Potter Series.
Looks like the next generation of the Jackson Family have already made up their minds as to how their destinies will turn out.
Rihanna to take year long break
How time flies, after seven straight years of sell out tours, hit albums and 24 hour partying, the Bajan Princess has finally decided to take a break, after the completion of her Diamonds World Tour.
Speculation has been rife among fans and industry insiders as to Rihanna’s health fearing burn out as she has suffered several bouts of exhaustion.
However insiders have reported that though she intends to take a year to rest and recuperate, she will still be in the studio recording new material for when her regeneration is complete.
The Diamond Tour is due to end in Finland on July 28th.
Obama Oscars Backlash
Michelle Obama, married to the president, but not a practiced politician in her own right has earned her fair share of negative publicity due to her satellite video appearance at the recent academy awards.
Conservative objectors have accused the First Lady of upstaging the other celebrity nominees and that her appearance itself was highly inappropriate.
Ms. Obama, however not one to let the “haters” get her down responded by observing that “Shoot, my bangs set off a national conversation. My shoes can set off a national conversation. That’s just sort of where we are. We’ve got a lot of talking going on, it’s like everybody’s kitchen-table conversation is now accessible to everybody else so there’s a national conversation about anything.”
Mr. Vegas leads the International Reggae and World Music Awards Nominations.
Mr. Vegas has been nominated for six awards in the upcoming International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA).
Nominations include Best Song, Best Album, Best Music Video and Best Crossover Song.
Vegas who released his 50th Anniversary Jamaica Independence double album Sweet Jamaica last year has two tracks up for Best Song including Bruk it Down and Sweet Jamaica.
Other nominees for the award ceremony to be held at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts in Florida include both Damian and Stephen Marley who are both contenders for the Bob Marley Entertainer of the Year Category.
The other candidates in the highly competitive category include Jimmy Cliff, Third World, Roman Virgo, Sean Paul and Tarrus Riley.
The award ceremony is scheduled for the 4th of May
Mavado History Maker
Dancehall Artist David Mavado Brooks has made history by becoming the first Caribbean Artist to have an exclusive music video premiere on Billboard – The US music magazine website.
His single Take It featuring Karian Sang was released back in September and has steadily gained momentum in both recognition and international music charts.
Mavado who has previously collaborated with Busta Rhymes, Wyclef, Ludacris and Jay-Z has enjoyed reasonable steady success since his debut track “ Real Mckoy in 2005, however the recognition by Billboard, the international recognized resource for the music industry will undoubtedly lead to new opportunities going forward.
