Caribbean news. Police sources say suicide is suspected in the death of well-known gynecologist Dr Frances Kelsick.
The well-placed sources say there were no visible external injuries on the doctor’s body, but at least two notes suggesting suicide were found at the scene. Dr. Kelsick’s body was found early Monday morning at her Cedar Grove home.
The gynaecologist founded the Women’s Clinic at the Deanery Place on Dickenson Bay Street over 20 years ago. She was on medical leave for the past two weeks reportedly recovering from a minor surgery. Her colleagues, including Dr Dane Abbott, last spoke with her on Friday and she was reportedly in good spirits.
A source said Dr Kelsick’s relatives went to look for her Monday morning as they were worried when they did not hear from her. A nephew was reportedly among those who made the discovery.
