Black Screenwriter First

Girl Trip Screenwriter Tracy Oliver is the first black screenwriter to have a $100 million box office hit film under her belt. Oliver says that being the first person to reach the milestone made her realise how special it is.

Girl Trip stars Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Regina Hall and Tiffany Haddish. The movie is about four longtime friends who go on a trip together to attend the Essence festival held in New Orleans.
