Caribbean airline, LIAT sympathizes with Dominica

ST JOHN’S, Antigua, – LIAT has announced changes to its schedule as it seeks to help the people of Dominica with their recovery plan following the passage of Tropical Storm Erika which has resulted in the closure of the Douglas-Charles Airport and the cancellation of several flights over the last three days.

In a statement late Friday LIAT said it will be operating an additional 29 services into Guadeloupe over the next week to facilitate movement into and out of Dominica.

Effective immediately, customers holding a LIAT ticket to or from Dominica will be allowed to change their flight to or from Guadeloupe, Martinique or St Lucia at no charge.

The airline said it is the responsibility of customers taking this option to ensure they meet the appropriate requirements to enter Guadeloupe, Martinique or St Lucia.
