Caribbean news. In Celebration of My Sisters kicked off with a bang at Fairfield Halls last Sunday 15th March. This calendered Mother’s Day event was hosted by BBC TV’s Brenda Emmanus and St Lucian TV host Delia Dolor. The audience was yet again packed to capacity showing the incredible popularity of an event concept that lasted 19 years.
Acts on the night included The Queens of Lover’s Rock’ Paulette Tajah, Aysha Loran; Performance Poet Nairobi; Dances by Love 2 Dance; singing by Reggae Star Factor winner Chardel Rhoden; a prayer Inspirational Speakers, Pastor Myrna Bryan, Bishop Mark Nicholson; Comedy by Felicity Ethnic, Donna Spence, Curtis Walker, Wayne “Dibbi” Rollins, musical renditions by the All Star Reggae Inspirational Choir and performances by Ska, Reggae and Soul band, The Freedom Band. Reigning Miss Caribbean UK Ms Keeleigh Griffith made an appearance.
From all appearances the many mothers in the audience and the few dads all had a grand time and are looking forward to the 20th anniversary of the Fairweather Productions In Celebration of My Sisters show in 2016.
