Caribbean news. With artistes popping up all over the place every day, everyone wants a “buss”; and with Jamaica said to produce the most music per capita that “buss” is becoming harder and harder everyday for artistes.  Therefore, artistes have to continue to push the envelope and blur the line of what is acceptable behavior and what is not.

So, a decade or so ago, you would never hear a Jamaican dancehall artiste glorifying oral sex through music; even if he or she was doing it behind closed doors.

As time progressed, and artistes tried to find new ways to express themselves and new topics to sing about to gain attention, we started hearing more and more of male artistes glorifying fellatio.  This has now become so common that females are no longer ashamed to say it loud and show their tongue piercings in dances.

Now, what do we talk about; the forbidden topic has been opened to all?  Then the proud performer of cunnilingus came along.  He decided to sing it loud to the world; he likes when girls “wine” in his face.  Then weeks later, of course, someone else had to top that; so here comes Alkaline glorifying, what Jamaicans call “b***y wash”.  Of course HE isn’t the one performing anilingus; he is OF COURSE on the receiving end.

Will the cunnilingus and anilingus trends catch on as well as the fellatio trend did?  Or do they need a more influential voice pushing those agendas.  If any of those two should catch on, I think it would more likely be cunnilingus.  I don’t see “b***y wash” catching on any time soon.  But, mission accomplished Alkaline, you have us talking; just like you did when you tattooed your eyeballs.  That shock factor seems to be working.  Keep it up and you will definitely receive Kartel’s level of notoriety.
