JAMPRO seeks to encourage Jamaican Diaspora entrepreneurs in the UK to procure Jamaican goods and services for export to the UK. As well as invest in trade related businesses in Jamaica.
The United Kingdom and Jamaica enjoy healthy trade relations and strong socio-cultural ties. An important trade partner and source of FDI for Jamaica, the UK recognizes Jamaica’s strategic importance as a stable democracy and the 3rd largest English-speaking nation in the Western Hemisphere with a diversified, open-market economy.
However, JAMPRO has recognized issues encountered by Diaspora entrepreneurs seeking to import Jamaican goods to the UK and/or invest in export related businesses in Jamaica.
To that end, this seminar will provide an opportunity for traders and investors to gain a comprehensive understanding of the trade opportunities available from Jamaica, the services offered by JAMPRO, trade financing and cargo transportation as well as UK import regulations.
