In July Sacred Sports Foundation in conjunction with the St Lucia Football Association hosted a US NCAA Division II soccer coach. New Mexico Highlands University Coach Justin Wagar worked extensively with local girls and coaches, as part of the Foundation’s Girls2Womens programme that is funded by the Australian Government.

As a direct result of the trip, two national team players were recommended by the coach and the Foundation to a Junior College in Colorado. We are pleased to report that two of Saint Lucia’s female national football players received formal scholarship offers to attend Trinidad State Junior College in Colorado and have now enrolled and are eligible to play for the school, a significant local milestone.
