In Africa news, Dayo Israel parley Governor Ajimobi and Abike Dabiri at Nigerian Diaspora Direct Investment Summit.
Coordinator of Africa Diaspora Youth Forum and Special Assistant to Nigeria’s Senator Babajide Omoworare on International Relations and Strategy, Dayo has been spearheading various Trade and Investment drive between the UK and Nigeria leading different delegations of Business Owners and Professionals from Nigeria to the UK in partnership with UK Trade and Investment recently.
Speaking to Sheffield STAR Newspaper recently, he was quoted as saying
“We have major needs in the power generation sector and in developing infrastructure.
We are not talking about aid – we are talking about trade. Nigeria is a nation of 170 million people. It’s a major, major market and the Chinese are taking a lot of that market. What are the Brits waiting for?” he asked.
Mr Israel said links between the Nigerian Government and UK Trade and Investment had helped to make it easier for British businesses wanting to do business in the African state.
The Nigerian Diaspora Direct Investment Summit held in London had in attendance the Governor of Oyo State – Nigeria -Governor Abiola Ajimobi, His Wife and Hon.Abike Dabiri (Chairman House Committee on Diaspora) in attendance.
