Europe’s award ceremony that celebrates the achievements of black and ethnic personalities in entertainment, film, fashion, television and arts (BEFFTA) is back for the 4th year in London and is set to take place on the 27th of October at The Hippodrome.
The prestigious awards ceremony will be hosted by award-winning UK king of comedy, TV and radio personality Eddie Kadi with BEFFTA founder Pauline Long as co-host. Fresh from hosting London Olympics basket ball games, Eddie is looking forward to hosting the special award ceremony.
Asked how he felt about the gig, Eddie Kadi said, “I’m so excited about hosting the BEFFTA awards, it is going to be a memorable night.” Meanwhile BEFFTA founder Pauline Long said, “to have a person of such calibre hosting such a prestigious night is an honour and to co-host with Eddie Kadi is even a much bigger honour, I only hope I will cope with the comedy.”
BEFFTA UK awards final nomination list will be announced on 26th September at the official nomination launch in Mayfair, London. CaribDirect will be on hand to bring you photos and a fair account of the proceedings.
