After a year of planning and negotiation the Caribbean New Frontier Foundation (CNFF) charity is finally able to announce the Caribbean Cultural Heritage Food project. This cooking workshop aimed at Caribbean youngsters between the ages of 16 and 24 in the area of West London is aimed at imparting the traditional art of preparation and delivery of Caribbean delicacies (Breakfast, Lunch and dessert).

Under the trained and super experienced watchful eye of Saint Lucian Celebrity Chef Orlando Satchell the youngsters will prepare a number of dishes with guidance on how to shift the menu from a ‘belly full’ to a ‘cuisine’ type experience. Chef Orlando who has been in the forefront of promoting Caribbean cuisine for many years around the world is confident there are Caribbean youngsters in West London with skills and talent to be chefs worthy of Master Chef and he aims to find them.

Funded by The National Community Fund, Caribbean Cultural Heritage Food project (#CariHerFood) is expected to kick-off in January 2023 at a college to be announced shortly. Details on how the workshops will be conducted and how the public can witness the cooks in action will be provided both here on CaribDirect.com and the charity website www.caribbeannewfrontier2020.com.

If you or someone you know of Caribbean heritage is interested to participate in this exciting workshop then send an email to [email protected] stating your connection to the Caribbean and why you should be given the opportunity to participate in this event.
