STAGE SHOWS

This year’s fashion show is being sponsored by the British Heart Foundation (BHF).  The BHF is the UK’s number one heart charity and is committed to raising awareness of heart disease – UK’s single biggest killer.

Did you know that African Caribbean people are twice as likely to have a stroke as people of European origin?  The show will be introduced by Michelle White, whose heart problems began at just 26 but she is a survivor and a supporter of the BHF.

JJ Rocks Consultancy will also be hosting an impeccable fashion show and pop-up boutique, with an eclectic mix of designers from established labels such as Ade Bakare to emerging labels such as Binghi’s Boutique.

The theme will be “Empowering Women”: the confidence, strength and beauty that a woman exudes both inside and out.

The Boutique aims to encompass all that is beautiful and chic. From handmade accessories to exquisitely made clothing with influences spanning across continents.

Jodi Barima, Founder of JJ Rocks is a London/Paris fashion week designer/stylist and consultant. Her partner Dennica-Abdo Markham, Founder of US Company Fashion Meets music LA/London is also an events manager with grass roots in PR & Live Entertainment. This dynamic duo aim to raise the bar of Afro Hair and beauty Live with their conceptual show stopping surprises.

Be prepared to be wowed as ‘Fantasy Hair’ makes a comeback to the stage. The legendary hair competition will feature award-winning hairdressers who will battle against each other and have their creative prowess put to the test.

Stakes will be raised even higher at the ‘Battle of the Barbers’ as the winner will take home a prize draw of a £1000. The competition will see barbers go head to head in a 15 minute freestyle cutting challenge. Find out who will be able to cut the sharpest, fastest and most creatively!
