We
What a lot of us did not know about Richie Drenz is that his creativity is not limited to fabric, needles and threads. Drenz has recently extended his list of creative skills to add ‘writer’. I recently stumbled upon his latest novel entitled Erotic Bliss. I only managed to read the prologue and the first two chapters, as that is all that was available and if my sneak peak was anything to go by, readers are in for a treat. Let me hasten to say that, like Religious Hard Talk, this novel is not for the lighthearted. As the name suggests, it contains some very strong sex scenes, hence if you find contents of a sexually explicit nature offensive, then this is not the book for you, go pick up a book by Joyce Mayer or Ben Carson.
However, if you are not easily offended by raw sexual content and find this kind of material entertaining, then this novel is definitely for you.
This novel is written in the first person narrative, with the writer taking on the persona of a female. The prologue tells a story of the hardship of a poor single parent, matriarchal Jamaican family. This is the story of the lives of many Jamaicans, growing up with a mother alone and struggling financially to make two ends meet. Therefore, I would assume that many Jamaicans and Caribbean nationals alike would be able to relate after they have read the prologue.
The book will be launched this year. See link for sneak peak: http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Frichiedrenzblog.com%2F2011%2F11%2F17%2Ferotic-bliss-by-richie-drenz%2F&h=cAQGqgEpM
