My name is Leonna, I am 25 and from a beautiful city in Scotland called Dundee. Although I was born and bred in Scotland, I am of mixed heritage with my father’s roots being from the stunning island of Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean.
I am very proud to embrace both cultures and feel it has given me some amazing opportunities. In 2011, after completing my BA in Business and Finance, I decided to enter Miss Trinidad and Tobago UK, which I was lucky enough t be crowned queen.
This led me on a year of amazing experiences from travelling back to the Caribbean, charity events, media events and more importantly, being a proud ambassador.
Throughout my life, I have always been determined and focused to achieve the best I can. I strongly believe anyone can reach the heights they want, if they just put their mind and heart to it.
This mindset gave me the confidence to become a successful business owner of a licensed premise by the time I was 21, with prospects going from strength to strength.
The next goal I aim to achieve is to open up a restaurant, to build a successful portfolio of businesses. I am very excited to be given this opportunity as a finalist for Miss Universe GB and really look forward to the exciting experiences that await me.
