First generation Windrush John wasn’t just a businessman, he was a Business man.
Writer, Activist and Publisher were just some of this legends many accomplishments. This proud  Trinidadians legacy includes New Beacon Books, The George Paramore institute as well as his collection of published works.
John used his resources to unite and empower his community, he created platforms for community to interact whilst building businesses that have lasted the test of time and racist intervention. John La Rose was part of a Caribbean tradition of radical and revolutionary activism whose input has reverberated across continents. The depth and breadth of his contribution to the struggle for cultural and social change, for racial equality and social justice, is unparalleled in the history of the black experience in Britain.
