It gives us great sadness to share the news of the great a African legend Menelik Shabazz has transitioned over to the realm of our Ancestors. May he be remembered for all the positive work he has done over the many decades in film and television for black people. We remember when he createed the Black Film Makers Festival… he has left a real legacy in this regard. We remember working with Charles Thompson on what was then called the Black Filmmakers Film & Television awards ceremony… now The Screen Nation Awards Ceremony. Menelik has been an inspiration to many over the years and his passing is such a sad loss. He will be remembered for all the good work he has done and we hope that his legacy will continue in the Black Film and Television arena. May his spirit Rest In Power in the realms of our Great Ancestors.
