Quickly garnering the reputation of being one of the leading lights of African film making in the UK, the highly talented, supremely visioned Obi Emelonye hits London with his ideas on “African Film”. Currently touring his latest movie “Last Flight To Abuja”, UK trelease from June 29th in various cinemas, Obi is undertaking a series of radio interviews both on his current film but also on last year’s hidden treasure “The Mirror Boy”
Out of the Nollywood factory, Obi is a Nigerian born, UK-based Director whose films have graced European cinemas since 2004. Obi obtained a BA in drama and later a post graduate in Creative Writing. He subsequently trained as a Solicitor after obtaining an LLB degree
Obi’s multi-disciplinary approach to film making has seen him emerge as one of the UK’s brightest directors. His directorial credits include: Echoes of War (2004) TTG; The London Successor (2006) Film AFRICA; Lucky Joe (2006) FilmAFRICA; The Asylum (2008) Towncrier Int.; Quiet Storm (2009) TNF The Mirror Boy TNF/OHTV (2010)
