Rebecca Stirn Returns

We were all shocked when we saw top contender Rebecca Stirn, being eliminated from, the popular Caribbean designer competition, Mission Catwalk.

The Belizean, being the winner of the first challenge and several others was the favourite to take home the title as the winner of Mission Catwalk season 2.  The reign of Rebecca was cut short for a moment when she was eliminated from the top 5 along with Barbados national, Kerrin Scot.

Rebecca was not out for long though as she was called back to join the top 3 for the final challenge of the season, which was to design a 12 piece collection to show at Caribbean Fashion Week (CFW).   According to the host of the show, when she visited the designers, she was not impressed with the amount of work the designers had put into their collections.

months of work.   She said that the decision of the wild card came down to either, Rebecca, Kerin or Janel Jolly and of course Rebecca was the favourite due to her consistency and the number of challenges that she won, when compared to the others.  Therefore, the show needed some excitement and that was the reasoning behind the return of Rebecca Stirn.  So instead of a top 3 this season will have a top 4 showing a collection at the Caribbean Fashion Week.

The top three were not so happy about Rebecca coming back into the competition, as instead of a 33% chance of winning, each contestant now only has a 25% chance of winning, as Crystal (one of the top 3 contestants) puts it.

Gregory, another contestant, did not seem too perturbed by the return of Rebecca and Ryan Chan did not seem too fond of the idea either; however he did put on a good front for her, as she claimed that only Ryan appeared to be cool about her coming back.
