Bridgetown,
The Direct Assistance Grant Scheme Workshop is brought to St. Vincent and the Grenadines in partnership with Invest SVG and is open to Vincentian firms and Business Support Organisations (BSOs).
This will be the 7th workshop for the year that the Caribbean Export team will deliver as part of their commitment to strengthening the capacity of CARIFORUM firms to access finance via their established Direct Assistance Grant Scheme.
The Direct Assistance Grant Scheme is a reimbursement grant funding facility specifically designed to provide financial assistance to legally registered firms, individuals and Business Support Organisations who have the potential to export their products and services.
In order to ensure CARIFORUM firms and BSOs are able to utilise the funds available Caribbean Export provides these workshops to increase the schemes awareness with the private sector and importantly, those attending the information and training sessions will gain a greater understanding of the process for applying for grant funding.
Ultimately, the workshops aim is to not only increase the number of applicants from Vincentian firms, but also the number of successful applications to the Direct Assistance Grant Scheme.
In addition through delivering the training to Business Support Organisations (BSOs) it is anticipated that their capacity is increased to support and provide assistance to local firms when preparing applications for upcoming call for proposals.
The delivery of this workshop is part of Caribbean Export’s overall objective to enhance the competitiveness among CARIFORUM’s private sector and Caribbean Export will continue to take the workshop across the region throughout August and September.
