Dear Friends and Colleagues,

This is a call out for expressions of interest to run a stall at our Caribbean Cultural Market on Saturday 14th of August 2021 at Maida Hill Market, W9.

  • The cost of a stall will be £22 for a one off licence fee for the day
  • We can provide a Market Gazebo for you
  • We will have staff and volunteers to help out on the day, and to help you through the licence process
  • If you want to offer food we can talk you through the environmental health process (note the electricity limitations)
  • You might like a stall to promote your charity, community work or business.

The deadline for expressing interest is the 2nd July 2021.

Gursharon, our Market Manager is happy to have an informal chat if you want to talk through your stall idea or requirements.

This market will be one of a series of themed markets the Westminster Markets Team will be hosting in Maida Hill Market to encourage new traders and support the local community.

The Caribbean Cultural Market is one of a series of activities voluntarily organised by the Westminster City Council Black Asian and Minority Ethnic Staff network to celebrate the Windrush generation.

As there are a limited number of pitches available-  if we have too many applications, we will prioritise stalls that represent local Caribbean businesses and organisations, and in particular, black led businesses.
If you are not successful this time, we plan to run more themed markets and we will invite you to participate again.  We will be working to latest government guidelines on COVID.

We are also interested to hear from people who want to take up a permanent market pitch.

We look forward to hearing from you! Please share this with your friends, neighbours and local businesses who you think might like to get involved.

Kind regards,

Shama Sutar-Smith
