Following video pitches and three one-day coaching sessions at the Cave Hill School of Business (CHSB) in Barbados, the participants are set to begin the next phase of the competition: Business Pitches.
This first round of face-to-face pitches will be held throughout the region on the following dates Jamaica (June 7th), this group Jamaica will include firms from Bahamas, Belize, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic; St Lucia (June 11th) with firms from the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS); and Barbados (June 18th) including firms from Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago.
Break Point is a Caribbean Export Development Agency (Caribbean Export) business competition for the CARIFORUM private sector, to encourage them to take advantage of the EPA. The competition is open to CARIFORUM majority owned or joint venture firms that intend to use the EPA as a tool to immediately target (i.e. within 6 months) the UK and EU markets for exports. Priority areas include: Agro-processing, Alternative Energy, Creative Industries, Fashion/Garments, Light Manufacturing, Professional Services, and Specialised Tourism.
