The Jamaican Patois Bible: God’s Word In Creole

Believe it or not there are currently over 3,030 versions of the Bible in over 2,011 languages available digitally on bible.com. Additionally there are versions in nearly 1,900 languages at faithcomesbyhearing.com and unbelievably another similar number on the American Bible Society’s bibles.org.

If that isn’t enough there is now a Jamaican Bible called Di Jamiekan Nyuu Testiment which is essentially a translation of the New Testament into Jamaican Patois prepared by the Bible Society of the West Indies in 2012. Have a look at the impact it is having on Jamaicans in Britain…
