Me last year – 2012

Here I am again as promised. I am sharing with you my tripartite journey to healing. Tripartite refers to: spirit, soul, and body.

Firstly, my spirit man was catered for by church affiliation and through prayer meetings, fasting and Bible studies.

My life became less self-centered and more God focused. I now found that there was less spasm and tightness in the muscles.

Secondly, let us look at the soul which encompasses: emotion, intellect, and will.

For my emotional needs I had regular Christian counseling and sharing with close friends. For my intellectual needs I increased and widened my reading and began writing poems and then progressed to writing books.

To date I have published four books and a parenting manual; two of which are in relation to Caribbean foods which are an essential part of my diet. The third is on Parenting Skills and the fourth is my autobiography.  For my will I have surrendered to God and finally found the peace and reassurance which I desperately needed.

Thirdly, for my body I regularly exercise for my physical well-being which helped with the mobility of the body- limbs and the function of my bowel.

However to ensure I had the correct nutriments and that various systems were working I had to change my diet moving towards a vegetarian one. This included more raw foods e.g. salads, juiced vegetables and fruits plus over a litre of water daily.

Whenever possible I went to Jamaica where I visited the Mineral Spa to absorb the essential minerals through the skin and I exposed myself to lots of sunshine which provided vitamin D.

At one stage in Jamaica I was having severe spasms an old man gave a drink made with marijuana. The spasms disappeared. When I returned to the UK I discovered that marijuana capsules were now being made available.

It was important to nurture the three areas of my being. I became stronger and went back to work. As mentioned in my second blog I worked in Jamaica for one year.

However I experienced a relapse and had to give up working. Next time I will share some of the amazing things that happened when I focused on God and what happened when I did not.
