R Kelly Mansion Foreclosure
In today’s difficult and worsening financial crisis, it is easy to forget that the supposed rich are feeling the strain also.
R&B star R Kelly, rumored to be at the mercy of severe financial pressure has been forced to auction his dream mansion at the relatively bargain basement price of 950,000 ($) barely 30% of the original 3.5 million it cost to build.
The impressive 20,000 square foot home which boasts 6 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, an indoor pool, theater room and private lake was constructed to personal preference back in 1997, however R Kelly – real name Robert Sylvester Kelly, has been defaulting on mortgage payments for over a year forcing the bank to foreclose after a failed attempt earlier in the year to sell the property for 1.6 million.

While in my humble opinion, a significant financial blow for the “King of R&B” with a reported net worth of 40 million U.S Dollars, one can only speculate as to what he has been doing with his spare change? Article courtesy www.forbes.com
Michael Jordan Paternity Case Drama
What is it about Celebrity Lifestyles, that no-one can seem to remember whose child was fathered by whom?
Former NBA basketball star Michael Jordan has been fighting a recent paternity case brought against him by former lover Pamela Smith, the case is to officially get Jordan to acknowledge that he is the father of her 16-year old son – Grant Taj Reynolds.
Hardly the first time that a celebrity figure has been linked to a supposed love child, and in the modern age, relatively easy to sort out, however Jordan has thus far refused to give a DNA test sighting a previous case regarding the paternity of Grant of several years ago.

Jordan’s legal team have filed counter papers calling for the case to be dismissed claiming that Jordan is being targeted due to his celebrity status.
A statement from his representatives has stated “Public records show that the paternity of the child was established in a prior case in this same court room many years ago proving that Michael Jordan is not the father, it is unfortunate that well-known figures are the target of these kinds of claims, Michael Jordan will vigorously defend himself and his reputation”
In a surprising twist, the alleged love child at the centre of this, has posted a video statement on YouTube asking his “father” to accept him and become part of his life.
The court case is currently dismissed without prejudice but Ms. Smith has the option to re-file at a later date.
This could be an unoriginal attempt to extort money from a well-known sporting figure or a pathetic excuse by an individual to avoid his paternal responsibility, only time will tell! Article courtesy www.tmz.com
Bob Marley’s Nephew – Celebrity Chef
When you hear the name Bob Marley, the genre you automatically associate him with is music, his children have continued this legacy and their children may very well go on, however it seems that a member of the Marley Family wants to try something a little different.
Charles Mattocks – the late Bob Marley’s nephew has recently been given the green light for a new cookery and health awareness talk show to be broadcast on CNN later this year, with a focus on diabetes.

“Conversations in the Kitchen” will include celebrity guests; home-made cuisine and healthy eating tips, Mattocks is also organizing the first National Diabetes Testing Tour wishing to bring more exposure to the condition.
Mattocks speaking of his ambition “ My goal is to be the Bob Marley of what I’m doing, I want to be able to inspire, help educate and bring to life that diabetes is a serious condition, that if not taken care of can lead to some serious conditions even death”
When asked about his thoughts of his uncle “I feel it’s what has made me who I am in a lot of ways, I was able to pattern a life of success, not be material gain but by how much I can give and share”
