A retired Florida doctor came to the rescue of his own wife when she suffered cardiac arrest during a Caribbean cruise.
Dr. Jim Lagocki of Sebring and his wife, Janet, were on a cruise to the island of Dominica when she fell ill Sunday.
Lagocki tells the Sun Sentinel ( http://sunsent.nl/yxbYSd) that his wife survived the heart attack because a portable defibrillator got her pulse going again.
Air ambulances transported the couple Monday to Fort Lauderdale and then to their winter home in Sebring.
