It is with deep sadness to receive and convey news of the passing of Dr. Violet Vyline Cuffy, Chair of Waitikubuli Culture & Tourism Initiative, Board member of DominicaFirst (DNDDF) and organiser of the U.K. Miss Wob Dwiyet and Petit Matador pageants. Violet was also a regular at the Notting Hill Carnival in which she took an academic interest and only last month received an award from the Governmnt of Dominica for her services to Kweyol Culture.
