Home African Caribbean Drunken Guyanese minister escapes conviction

Caribbean news. Isn’t it ironic that the very ‘group’ that is supposedly on the side of ‘justice’ is quiet on the matter concerning a ‘drunken’ Minister of Finance (Dr. Ashni Singh) and his saga.

Dr. Singh allegedly drove his vehicle under the influence of alcohol and almost killed two persons, and all the so-called ‘Rights’ crusaders are silent.

I’m wondering if it’s because of the ethnicity of the victims, since a few FaceBookers are suggesting that since they’re “Indians” they deserve what they got because ‘is dem vote dem in office, and may vote fuh dem again.’ What a ridiculous assumption!

So, even if that’s who the voted for….what does that have to do with securing justice for them? I know of many folks who have voted for the dead-beat opposition PNC/APNU or AFC, and may very well vote for them again. Therefore, should that be the reason for some to suggest that the victims (Mr. Hira and his passenger) look for what they got by a ‘drunken’ Minister of Finance? (God help, Guyana….have a blessed day, everyone). Mark Anthony Benschop
