At the airport I always find things to read. Depending on my waiting time between flights I decide whether I’ll read a feature or a tidbit.
I am a victim of lost and damaged luggage over the years, so a piece about luggage caught my eye. I read that every day during 2017, British holiday makers had luggage to the value of 33,390 lost, damaged or stolen – a total of more than 12 during the year. But I couldn’t believe that accidental loss was the main reason cited and accounted for nearly half of luggage claims, followed by accidental damage and theft.
Made me think…I’d like to know the figure for the number of delayed or misplaced luggage that occurs and how many holidaymakers made claims.
