In Caribbean News. As the CaribDirect Multi-Media news team moves around the UK in search of inspiring stories from the primarily Caribbean community we caught up with interesting individuals including a dance group.
First we had a chat with Operations Director and spokesman for the Caribbean Enterprise Network (CENUK), Mr Denis St Bernard. Denis took time out to explain some of the challenges faced by small to medium sized businesses (SMEs) and taught us a little about the principle function of the insurance industry.
We then interrupted the flow of fashion designer Aaliya Kimolo who was delighted to give us an insight into the wondrous and highly competitive field of fashion. Aaliya is a creative, free-spirited fashion designer born in Tanzania and raised in Denmark who has traveled far and wide doing what she loves.
Lastly, we grabbed the supremely talented East London dance group, MoneyWheel Dancers. The group comprised of Zena from Guyana; Fred, the founder and leader from Africa and Andrea from Jamaica came down to the CaribDirect Multi-Media studio and discussed how a hobby can actually be turned into a successful business.
These interviews will be brought to you on Diaspora News In Brief on Monday 21st October 2013.
