Williams said this information was communicated to him on Wednesday morning via email. He said the decision was made based on a “difference of opinion” between himself and the organisation.
While he has expressed surprise by the move, Williams said he will not disclose any further information as he feels it should not be allowed to play out in the public domain.
The former Zandoli executive said he has served to the best of his ability and will continue to speak up for victims of rape and sexual abuse, so that they receive the justice that they deserve.
Apart from meeting with Minister of Health and Human Services Alvina Reynolds and other officials of the ministry, he also appeared on television and radio talk shows to discuss the proposal.
Zandoli International Foundation in a press statement on Wednesday morning informed the public that Williams is no longer associated with the organization in his former post as Communications Director.
