 News, events and discounts and offers for Saint Lucians around the world

CASTRIES, August 8, 2022 – A comprehensive new diaspora membership programme has been set up by the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) with the aim of connecting more people of Saint Lucian origin across the world and encouraging them to visit their homeland.

For a smaller country with a population just over 180,000, Saint Lucia has a significant diaspora community throughout Europe and North America.

The new membership drive has its hub on the SLTA website and a dedicated Facebook page; called Lucian Links, featuring island news, updates, special offers and discounts for accommodation and activities in Saint Lucia. Diaspora members can save up to 60% on participating accommodation rates with savings on excursions such as zip lining and selected boat tours. The accommodation offers run throughout the year and are spread across large and small hotels and villas. The website and Facebook page will be updated regularly and members will also receive regular e-newsletters.

Lorine Charles-St.Jules, CEO of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority said, “Our Saint Lucian community-at-large is essential for keeping our wonderful culture alive. From their visits and investments to simply passing on knowledge, they play such an important part in promoting Saint Lucia. Wherever Saint Lucian Diaspora live around the world we want to help them strengthen their bond with their ancestral home. Lucian Links will provide a platform for sharing information, engaging as many people of Saint Lucian heritage as we can and give them some really enticing reasons to make the trip home.”

Membership is free to anyone who was born in Saint Lucia or with parents or grandparents who were born there. To register as a Lucian Links member please fill out the online form at https://www.stlucia.org/en/lucianlinks/. To join the Facebook page;
