The Mother of two and entrepreneur was recently named amongst eleven other women as the most powerful and inspirational black women in Europe. Among the women named on Black Women in Europe power list is Doreen Lawrence OBE.
Pauline Long is the founder of Europe’s biggest award ceremony that celebrates and honours black and ethnic personalities in entertainment, film, fashion, television and arts BEFFTA AWARDS.
She is also the founder of Mr and Miss East Africa UK. As a passionate community personality and philanthropist, she mentors many youth in the industry and supports unsigned artists through her award-winning film studio, East End Studios.
The private celebration dinner was organised by media icon and veteran broadcaster Princess Deun Adedoyin-Solarin. Amongst stars and media personalities in attendance were CNN Hero and author Betty Makoni and her husband Irvine, Richard Taylor OBE, Nollywood star and PR guru Theodora Ibekwe, New African Woman magazine editor Regina Jere Malanda, Publisher David Boboye, celebrity photographer Sync Photography boss.
In her speech media icon Princess Deun said, “Pauline Long is a class act lady who is always celebrating people in our community, today is our opportunity to celebrate her achievements and kindness.”
Pauline Long and her BEFFTA team are currently busy working on BEFFTA Caribbean in Jamaica launching on 9th February and also preparing to launch BEFFTA Africa, Canada and Australia. BEFFTA UK 2012 Grand 5th year anniversary will take place on 26th October 2013 in London.
Pauline Long is also set to produce and direct a movie this year.
