Miles Teller was arrested in San Diego early Sunday for allegedly being drunk in public, Page Six has confirmed.
Police tell us that Teller, 30, was partying with a group of male friends when an officer on the street noticed he was showing signs of being under the influence of alcohol.
The officer approached the actor, who cops say appeared to have bloodshot eyes, was swaying side to side and was slurring his words. While being evaluated, the “Whiplash” star nearly fell into the street, according to police.
The officer on the scene determined Teller couldn’t care for himself and took him to a detox center so he could “sleep it off” for four hours.
But police say Teller was uncooperative with the center’s staff, so he was rejected from their care. Teller was then transported to San Diego Central Jail. He was later released.
Teller’s rep and attorney didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
