JAMAICA’S
Jamaica were among five competing teams as the Caribbean skills are matched up against Central American talent. The competition kicked off last Friday following the official opening ceremony on Thursday evening.
In their first matches, the Jamaica team one duo of Daley/Richards and team players Williams/Hutchinson went down to Nicaragua 4-0 in their respective matches.
NCA-B defeated JAM-A 2-0 (21-13, 21-10), NCA-A defeated JAM-B (21-17, 21-6), NCA-A defeated JAM-A 2-0 (21-17, 21-12), NCA-B defeated JAM-B 2-1 (21-12, 17-21, 15-6).
In the second round of play, the experienced Trinidadian team of Phillip/Dyette won 15-10 over Daley/Richards in the losers bracket of the double-elimination tournament.
Earlier, Daley/Richards had defeated the Trinidad B team to earn the right to face their fellow countrymen.

The other Caribbean teams participating in the competition include Barbados, Curacao, Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala, El Salvador, and The Cayman Islands.
