American news. Reality TV rapper Benzino has been shot and injured – allegedly by his nephew – while attending his mother’s funeral.

The 48-year-old star of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, whose real name is Raymond Scott, had been driving in the funeral procession in Duxbury, Massachusetts, on Saturday, when Gai Scott pulled alongside in a Bentley and fired into Benzino’s Dodge SUV, according to authorities.
The boss of Hip-Hop Weekly sought help from a passerby and was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds, where he is reported to be in a critical condition.
Family and friends are said to be at his bedside, including fiancee Althea Heart. Gai Scott, 36, has been arrested and charged with assault with intent to murder.
It is claimed there had been an on-going feud between the pair. He is due to appear in court on Monday. In a statement, a representative for Benzino said he had been shot in the shoulder.
“At this time we ask that you keep Benzino in your prayers as we are hoping for a speedy recovery,” it added.
