For years there has been criticisms about the lack of Black owned hair product outlets in the UK and that the Indian / Pakistani owned shops have enjoyed a long period of not only allegedly ripping customers off but treating Black customers with disrespect and disdain. Recently there has been a report of a Pakistani owned hair shop in Pekenham has assaulted a Black female customer that has resulted in public demonstrations outside the shop.
