Before the war between Russia and Ukraine the European Union mandated developing countries to demonstrate their commitment to reducing global warming by moving to alternative energy sources away from coal and fossil fuels. However since the war Europe has made a full uturn by firing up their coal mines to meet local damand as Russia has pretty much turned off the supply of gas, such hypocrisy!
