Condolences to the family and loved ones of Elder Reverend Hewie Andrew. For decades, as a community activist and leader, he stood for and represented justice, freedom and equality for the community here in the UK.

As a founder of The Queen Mother Moore Saturday School he raised the educational aspirations and achievements of our children.

As a Methodist church leader; Ancestor Reverend Hewie Andrew was a brave and courageous shining light and example to all theologians, spiritual representatives and especially Christian Pastors, Reverends, Popes, Vicars, Bishops and Cardinals in how to use religion as a liberating tool to combat the social enslavement of the mind and fight against the oppression of the soul from a Black theological perspective.

Ancestor Reverend Hewie Andrew lives on in all of us that have been impacted, influenced or benefitted from his tremendous works whether that be directly or indirectly.

“And speak not of those who are slain in God’s way as dead. Nay, (they are) alive, but you perceive not.”  The Holy Quran Ch:2, V:154

“The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.”  Bible – 1 John Ch:2, V:17

The Late Elder Rev. Hewie Andrew
