In Jamaica news. DUPPY NUO WHO FI FRIGHTEN: DOES BOUNTY ONLY HAVE STRENGTH FOR SOME PEOPLE?
The recent feud between Bounty Killer and Mr. Vegas has brought up a very important question and topic of discussion.
Does Bounty Killer only have the strength to take on certain people? In Jamaica, we say, “Duppy nuo who fi frighten”; which means bullies are more likely to pick on people who they know are too weak to manage them. They will not go after people who they know will fight back and maybe even win.
Is this the case with Bounty Killer? Is he a jus a ghost who knows who to frighten? Mr. Vegas brought up the issue during his social media squabble with Bounty Killer recently, tweeting, “Facts: Vybz Kartel soon drop a rd, the dj weh deal wid this mongrel the wickedest!
The dj weh style him the most”. It is known that when Vybz Kartel “stepped to Bounty Killer”, he (Bounty Killer) did not respond. Song after song, diss after diss and not a word from the Killer; the man who claims to be the “baddest” deejay when it comes to “killing” other artistes.
Ragashanti also brought up the issue as he played a song, recently done by Tony Matterhorn about the recent feud between the two artistes. In the song Tony Matterhorn, basically slaughtered both artistes, the same way he did when it was Bounty Killer and Beenie Man feuding over D’Angel.
After stating that Vegas should not reply to Matterhorn, as he (Mr. Vegas) is not a clash artiste; he (Ragshanti) suggested that if Bounty Killer who is the self-proclaimed War Lord, does not respond, it will give credence to the claim that Bounty Killer only has strength for certain artistes.
So far there has been no response to Matterhorn from Bounty Killer. So is it true? Is the War Lord really afraid to face some people and only pick on those, he considers to be weaklings?
If so, then is what we grew up believing about dancehall just one big lie? Is Bounty Killer only the best contemporary clash artiste because he shied away from the tough opponents and bullied weaklings?
