The recent flooding in Anguilla has taught us many things, not least of all the value of preparedness and mitigation. While damage and losses due to some seasonal hazardous events (such as hurricanes) are to be expected, it is often the disaster that catches us asleep that hold the most potential to destroy our lives, properties and businesses.

It is against this backdrop that the Department of Disaster Management is holding its third annual Business Continuity Workshop on the 27th and 28th March at Viceroy Hotels and Resorts. Similar to last year, the workshop features a full day session on the 27th with business continuity and recovering planning presentations and the second day of the workshop will be a half day session for practical experience reviewing and developing Business Continuity and Recovery plans. All business owners are invited to attend this session or appoint a senior member of staff in their stead to attend this extremely important workshop. Registration for the workshop continues until Thursday 22nd March and all business owners wishing to take part are required to indicate their attendance well in advance so that adequate seating and catering can be arranged.

To indicate attendance please send email to [email protected] or [email protected] or contact the Department of Disaster Management at 4972926.
