When you’re sick what did your grandmother make you eat? First thing mine did was reach for the senna. She made it with molasses and castor oil and the taste was awful to the worst extreme!
But now there are tastier things as favorites, like chicken soup. It’s been a remedy for the common cold for ages, but do you know why? It’s an excellent source of fluids and electrolytes which helps tremendously if you’re visiting the bathroom often.
If you prefer broth to soup, because broth has more flavor, if you still have taste buds that is…bear in mind home made is best as it will probably have more calories and nutrients.
For colds and general well-being, soups are great…especially with dumplings!
