On Wednesday, November 16, 2011, an arrest was conducted by the Gendarmes home squad intervention unit of Wissembourg in the district of Quartier d’Orléans.
During the search, a large amount of weapons were discovered and seized by the Investigators of the brigade of research.
The results of the discovery are, a shotgun, 9mm handguns, automatic rifles, a rifle 22LR with more than 520 rounds of ammunition varying different sizes, a bullet proof vest and a silencer.
A suspect was arrested in connection with the operation and the holder of the weapons will have to give an account for the weapons in court.
The investigations of the police is continuing to determine the origin of the weapons and planned use of them.
