Staff Writer - Kerran Monroe

After watching Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall for the past approximately ten weeks, I have come to the conclusion that the male talent on the show are on a much higher level than the females.  Here are my thoughts about the following contestants:

Big Pop:  He is entertaining and comical.  He was yet to prove himself as a lyricist until last Saturday, when the magnum mansion was introduced.

Renny:  I think he is an entertainer.  He reminds me little bit of Beenie Man in the way he performs and also with those weird sounds he makes with his mouth that are just nice to listen to.

Memzay:  I like his lyrics and how he delivers on stage.  He appeals to the females which is always good.  You can’t go wrong with that.

Fire Dyce:  He is Miss Kitty’s wildcard, I think and like Memzay he also sings songs that women can dance to and on top of that gyrated on stage so those are two things in his favour.

Too Qute:  Well until last week I just thought she was just a pretty face.  But then she came out last Saturday night and showed that she meant business.

Kayla Di Diva

Kayla Di Diva:  Probably suffering from multiple personality disorder but so far, none of her personalities appeal to me.

Taliban:  She scares me.  All I have to say about her is that if she makes it to the finals, I am already sorry for the person she has to clash with because that woman, deejays like a man.

Firm:  Well after, she wine up pon Skatta the week after him don har bout har outfit, the following week she kom plié op in him hair, den di week afta she kom flop herself.  She needs to be more consistent.  Hope she comes back next week to show what she really can do.

Likkle Miss:   Uuum, I don’t know what to say about her except I do not wish to see her next week

Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall airs on TVJ Saturdays at 9:30pm
