All invited to come down and listen to WWII RAF Veteran Neil Flanigan speak about his service to King and Country!
On Saturday 10 September 2022 at 6pm at WASP Centre, 161 Clapham Manor Street, London, SW4 6DB.
Neil Flanigan was born in Jamaica and travelled to England in 1943 to join the Royal Air Force during WWII. After seeing an advertisement for volunteers, he answered the call to fight for Britain. He completed training in Cardington, the Bedfordshire home of British airships. There he was taught to march, fire guns, and fight. Following the war, he has been involved in community activities, such as volunteering at the Citizens Advice Bureau and his local hospital. He was president of the West Indian Ex-services Association, now the West Indian Association of Service Personnel.
