In Jamaica news. So it seems Kartel’s camp is sure of another acquittal on his second murder charge. In fact they are so confident, they are already planning a Techa’s Pet season 2. November is the month that all should be revealed, if the case is not pushed back again.
After the first acquittal, the office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) came under immense criticisms, as they had lost a number of high profile cases in that one week.
It brought into question, if the office of the DPP is conducting thorough investigations before dragging people to court to answer to charges. In the case of Vybz Kartel, the reason given for the acquittal was that the witnesses could not be found and therefore did not turn up for court to corroborate the prosecutor’s case. Therefore, the case had to be thrown out.
With that said, reports are that the same could happen in this the second murder charge. According to reports, witnesses are not cooperating for the second murder charge, in the same way they didn’t for the first.
Now, if the prosecution loses this case as well, it will look extremely bad on those who were prancing around in the media, claiming that they had video evidence and other strong evidence against the accused that would lead to a conviction.
However, that would be a win for the Vybz Kartel camp and his fans. It would also be a major win for the promoters of Sting if he were to win this case and be released before December.
If that were to happen and he were to agree to perform at Sting this year, that would be all the wow factor needed for Sting this year. There would be no need for gimmicks and antics and mediocre clashes such as the one between Tony Matterhorn and Twin of Twins last year.
So of course I will be watching closely and eagerly awaiting the verdict.
